You can watch a video from outside the scene that has been filmed—the approach we usually take when we watch videos. OR, you can imagine that you can enter into a video, as though you are truly there, experiencing what you see and sense all around you.
For example, in this beach in Hawaii, we invite you to imagine you can feel the warm breeze on your shoulders, taste the salt in the air, and feel the sand under your feet. This way of viewing a video brings you closer to understanding what you are seeing than if you stayed outside and watched from a distance.
Incidentally, in our section on Pictures Can Connect You With Others, we suggest a similar approach with paintings and photographs—and show you how you can share your experience with friends.
